Origin
The origin of Nespresso Guatemala is a blend of Arabica and Robusta – both originating in Guatemala. This Central American coffee source has long been known for its excellent Arabica. When preparing this Nespresso Professional capsule, we have included one of the best washed Arabicas from Guatemala. However, upon discovering a rare machined washed robusta, we couldn’t resist adding it to the mix. It imparts boldness, elegant bitterness and a distinct cereal note that gives this long black coffee a disarming power.
Roasting
Both Arabica and Robusta are roasted for a short, light time. A light roast helps to give this coffee a bit of boldness. Keeping the roast time short allows us to preserve the aromatic complexity of the blend.
Aromatic Profile
Nespresso Guatemala’s intense, dry and malty grain notes are softened by an elegant bitterness and silky-smooth texture. You’ll pick up that classic grain note of Robusta, but you’ll notice that it’s combined with a delicate, dry botanical note that adds complexity to the blend. Guatemala is a bold coffee whose power is disarming.
